Martha Carruthers joined Pear Therapeutics in 2020 and is responsible for leading corporate development for outbound opportunities and partnerships. With a passion for the digital healthcare environment, Martha brings a wealth of international knowledge and expertise from both a corporate and start-up perspective.
Martha has over 17 years of strategy and commercial experience in the pharmaceutical and digital health industry, including leading cross-functional teams in local and international roles. Martha started her career in Canada with Merck, then a private pharmaceutical company, and then relocated to the United Kingdom for business school. Subsequently, Martha spent several years at Johnson & Johnson in various commercial roles at Janssen EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and then within Janssen Healthcare Innovation as part of the Janssen EMEA strategic leadership team. Martha led a commercial innovation team developing and implementing innovative healthcare and digital solutions. Most recently, Martha was the Head of the Life Science Partnerships team at a London-based digital health start-up.
Martha earned a HBSc in human kinetics from University of Guelph (Canada). She also earned an MBA from University of Oxford Said Business School, United Kingdom.
